On guard, knights! On Saturday April 20 and Sunday April 21, 2024, the town of Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine, in the Seine-Saint-Denis département, will be transporting you back to the Middle Ages, for an unusual event that's free for all.
Organized by the Compagnie médiévale de Saint-Ouen, the Olympiades chevaleresques is part of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, and brings together numerous medieval associations from all over the Île-de-France region, with a host of activities and entertainment for young and old, in the town's grand Parc des Docks . Fire shows, concerts, knight fights, ancient board games, cane and stick fighting demonstrations... Visitors will be able to discover a wide range of disciplines practised in the Middle Ages, but now forgotten. The good news is that all these events and demonstrations are entirely free and open to all, so now's the time to take advantage, especially as the weekend of April 20 and 21 falls during the Easter school vacations !
So, if you'd like to try your hand at chivalric disciplines and take a trip back in time to the heart of the Middle Ages, come to the Parc des Docks on Saturday April 20 and Sunday April 21, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and enjoy a great day of medieval sports with your family or friends!
