On one side, Seine-Saint-Denis in Montfermeil, on the other, Seine-et-Marne in Chelles. On the border between the two departments in the east of the Paris region, Parc du Sempin is scheduled to open in 2025 (originally planned for 2024).
The park is being built on the Sempin quarry: for the occasion, the site has undergone a complete transformation, covering more than 23 hectares of land. Ordinarily inaccessible to walkers, the area was designed to become the Parc du Sempin, a landscaped park with a variety of natural areas. An orchard garden, recreational meadows, a clearing, wetlands and walking areas will be integrated into Parc du Sempin.
Did you know? Soil excavated by the tunnel boring machine on line 16 of the Grand Paris Express metro will be used to create the park.
Located just a stone's throw from the Moulin de Montfermeil and very close to the Jean-Pierre Jousseaume park, we strongly recommend that you stop by during your visit to the future Sempin park!
