For its third edition, Biblis en folie is returning to Paris and Île-de-France’s media libraries and libraries for three days, from October 2–4, 2026, with a host of free activities for the whole family! The aim of these national days is to make books, learning, and reading accessible to everyone, especially to the youngest readers, which is why many activities are dedicated to them over the three days.
The first children's library (L’Heure joyeuse, in Paris) was founded exactly a century ago. Since then, libraries have continually refreshed how they mediate with the book to keep it appealing amid the screen-time competition and to develop the love of reading from the earliest age. Readings, concerts, workshops, exhibitions, meetings, games, screenings—so many activities to discover, but remember to register in advance for events that require it!
Keep an eye on the program for libraries near you on the event site! In Paris, children and all the curious alike can look forward to a botanical graffiti workshop, an introduction to Japanese, a session exploring Taiwanese poetry, a behind-the-scenes peek at a beautiful library, storytelling, or a literary café!
