On the occasion of the National Organ Donation Day, Monday, June 22, 2026, you’re invited to help create a massive, human-sized green ribbon in the heart of the capital. Greffe de Vie, the foundation representing the Greffes+ collective, and the association Le Flambeau de la Vie are organizing a solidarity and symbolic action—and they need you to make it happen! To participate, simply sign up for free and head to the Pont d'Iéna!
Why the green ribbon? It’s the international symbol of organ donation. And June 22 marks the National Day for Reflection on Organ Donation and Transplantation, as well as a day to honor donors. The foundation aims to raise awareness and remind people that talking about organ donation with loved ones can save lives, because while the law presumes we’re donors, anyone can still opt out.
To create a cohesive, striking visual, on-site teams will hand you a green T-shirt in your size and a green cap; neutral bottoms are recommended. If you want to join this solidarity effort, please note that you should arrive on time, at 5:00 p.m., for the ribbon setup between 5:45 and 6:30 p.m.
Also on the program: the exceptional scintillement of the Tour Eiffel for the occasion, the mobilization of the péniches in Paris that will sound their sirens, a brass band and street-art performances, as well as a demonstration of a drone used to transport medicines. A lovely participatory moment in front of the Iron Lady!
