On Thursday, May 21, 2026, to celebrate World Tea Day, the Buttes-Chaumont Park is set to host an unprecedented experience. The Offline Club Paris invites anyone who wants to join to gather in this green Parisian space and turn it into a vast tea salon on the grass, facing the sunset !
Each participant brings their own favorite mug and their personal thermos of hot water. On-site, the house Mariage Frères will refill the containers with a selection of exceptional teas. If the event lasts as long as the tea stays warm, you might as well bring something to pique-niquer and enjoy the moment a bit longer, the park being open during summer hours, until 10 p.m.
Beyond the tasting, the aim is human connection: conversation starters and icebreakers are offered to bring strangers together. It’s an invitation to savor the golden hour by celebrating the art of tea slowly, enjoying the moment. L’accès est libre et gratuit, et des volontaires guideront les participants sur la pelouse à partir de 20h30, au pied du kiosque à musique.
A word on logistics: remember to fill a thermos with hot water before you come, since one isn’t provided on site. And while May often delivers stunning sunsets and pleasant temperatures, the cold can creep onto the lawns of the 19th arrondissement as soon as the stars appear; bring a thick blanket and warmer clothing.
