The Grand Palais of Ice is making its grand return for the winter 2025-2026 in Paris. Contrary to previous years, when the event was canceled twice, it’s coming back once again this winter. This iconic winter attraction makes its comeback to the French capital, giving Parisians, residents of Île-de-France, and visitors alike the chance to lace up their skates in a spectacular setting. This year, the festivities are scheduled to run from December 13, 2025, to January 7, 2026.
The Grand Palais des Glaces is back among the must-see activities of Paris winter. This world-renowned indoor ice rink had disappeared from the capital's winter landscape during the renovation of the historic monument. Now skating fans can rediscover this unique Parisian experience, in one of the city's most beautiful architectural settings.
Imagine a gigantic ice rink stretching beneath the nave of the Grand Palais. Under lights and to the rhythm of a musical ambiance or even a DJ set, a gigantic ballet of professional skaters and beginners, young and old, twirl around a frosty 2700m2 surface, with a bonus area dedicated to children.
This year, the rink features a giant replica of the Eiffel Tower scaled at 1/10th. Positioned at the center of the ice skating rink, this towering installation reaches up toward the dome and adds a touch of enchantment. There's no better symbol of Paris to enhance this already iconic skating spot.
Around the ice, the magic also works its wonders on the plate. The Grand Palais des Glaces village invites you to take a "lifestyle" break in the cozy setting of the Kujten terraces. When it comes to flavors, contrasts reign supreme: we delight in the iodine of Normandy oysters, the comforting warmth of raclette, and the exoticism of steaming gyozas. To round off this moment of indulgence, it's impossible to resist Yannick Alléno's signature hot chocolate.
Just a heads-up regarding food options: expect some busy moments. Also, take note that separate lines are in place—one for ordering and another for pickup—so make sure to queue in the right spot. Don’t rush straight to the food stalls; instead, stop by the central station to order and pay first, then join the right line at the counters you’re aiming for.
Based on an original ideaby Olivier Maurey, founder of the Ludéric Group, the first edition, which took place in 2012, was a huge success, with nearly 300,000 people coming to discover this exceptional and unexpected event. Seasoned athletes, families, and visitors alike took to the icy space. Children even had a specially designed area that was completely secure and supervised.
There are two time slots available during the day:10 a.m. to 1 p.m.or 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.
In the evening, from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m., it's time for giant dance floor parties. When night falls, the ice rink puts on a show: it's the festive gathering place on the Champs-Elysées. The rink is transformed into a giant dance floor where you can glide through the night to the sounds of a DJ, shine under the disco balls, and dance to the rhythm of the light shows...
