The 18th arrondissement is where touristy Paris meets popular Paris. Located on the capital's right bank, it's home to the famous and charming Butte Montmartre, where you can wander up and down a maze of staircases in an astonishing, almost mystical quartier-village that takes you back to the Paris of the movies.
On the Place du Tertre, caricaturists share the stage, and our steps lead us in the footsteps of the artists who have contributed to the spirit of the place. We salute the bust of Dalida, let ourselves be surprised by the Passe-Muraille, admire the anachronistic charm of the Moulin de la Galette, declare our love in front of the Je T'aime wall, walk along the vineyards to find the Maison Rose, marvel at the imposing Sacré-Cœur and discover the little secrets that populate the hilltop.
At the foot of the hill, neighborhoods ranging from fashionable to popular surround this astonishing hill. Bridging the gap between the bubbling Pigalle atmosphere and the charm of Montmartre, the Abbesses district reveals its share of gourmet neighborhood nuggets, while towards Lamarck-Caulaincourt, we find ourselves more on the hipster side of the force. The Barbès Rochechouart district gradually shifts us towards the more popular spots of La Goutte d'Or, La Chapelle and Marx Dormoy, not forgetting Anvers, the stronghold of haberdashers.
