The land of the Dolce Vita is inviting itself in the 3rd arrondissement of Paris thanks to the opening of Anna. If this Italian restaurant and wine bar honors some clever drinks and good bottles coming from the boot and elsewhere, the place also proposes in its menu several tasty plates with Mediterranean notes.

A sweetness straight from Italy blows over the famous Vertbois district, nestled in the 3rd arrondissement of Paris. To be discovered officially since September 6, 2022, Anna is THE new restaurant and wine bar of the Haut-Marais.

Behind this name are two passionate and warm associates, on one side Giuseppe Craparotta, Chef who passed by several great addresses like Armani Caffè, and on the other side Alessandro Allegri, a real lover of cooking. After meeting at the Anima restaurant in the 6th arrondissement, the two decided to set up their own business together, giving birth to Anna.

Anna is of course a wine bar with several carefully selected wines on the menu, with a special emphasis on natural wines. There are also some clever drinks like the Spritz or the excellent Negroni Sbagliato, served in glass cups as they used to do in Venice.

And to accompany these cocktails and good wines from Italy, but also from France, Anna takes you on a journey through time and space, notably to the Mediterranean coast. What's on offer? Plates to nibble and share (anchovies and butter, tuna bresaola, bruschetta with caponata...) or delicious more substantial dishes.

We start the tasting with sweet Italian peppers stuffed with southern vegetables on one side, and on the other a succulent"Bok choy à la romaine". A mix that might seem surprising, but totally justified when you know that the chef's wife is Korean. We love this original recipe full of flavors based on a sautéed Chinese cabbage accompanied by smoked anchovies, pine nuts and dried grapes. A very nice start!

What would an Italian restaurant be without fresh pasta ? Not much, that's for sure. That's why Anna also offers the excellent"tagliolini Cacio e pepe du Belice"; tasty and generous fresh homemade pasta, accompanied by pecorino cheese, capers from Pantelleria and lemon.

We continue with the unavoidable grilled octopus, twisted here with a cream of Calabrian sausage. And we finish with our second favorite of the evening: theOsso Buco. Cooked for several hours, the traditional Milanese veal dish is of a rare and remarkable tenderness. The imposing piece of meat is accompanied here by spinach and chard. A real delight that we warmly recommend!

We couldn't finish this meal without tasting the only dessert offered on the menu. But what a dessert! Anna fills us with happiness with her delicious old-fashioned panna cotta, with a smooth and light cream, decorated with a tangy jam of nectarines. We literally fall for this sweet pleasure to be devoured without moderation.

Whether you come for a snack with a glass of wine or a savory beverage, or whether you opt for a longer interlude and more substantial dishes, Anna is sure to satisfy your desires thanks to a warm welcome and an original and daring menu that plunges us into the Italian cuisine of yesteryear, sprinkled with a touch of modernity.
