On the occasion of the “Les Nabis et le décor – Bonnard, Vuillard, Maurice Denis” exhibition displayed at the Musée du Luxembourg from March 13 to June 30, 2019 – legendary Maison Angelina pastry chefs came up with an exclusive creation: Nabi. As they do twice or three times a year, to accompany the musuem's long exhibitions.
This bright and colorful pastry is a genuine tribute to the “group of Nabis” brought together by artists Bonnard, Vuillard, Maurice Denis, Sérusier, Ranson.
Pioneers of modern décor in the late 20th century, they try to break free from the past and drawing their inspiration in Japanese prints, highlighting a creative, original, joyful and dynamic expression.
Only available at the Musée du Luxembourg Angelina tea house, the pastry Nabi extends the inspiring exhibition and transposes the artists’ creative spirit into a unique gustative experience.
As a link between Orient and Occident, full of peps and twinkly, Nabi skillfully mixes yuzu and basil.
"Nabi" is a very fresh pastry, not too sweet and slightly sour. Yellow and green, it catches the eye. The pastry is clear and precise.
The entremets is made of smooth lemon shortbread topped by a light yogurt mousse. The heart is made of a yuzu/basil insert and once in the mouth, you get an explosion of flavors.
The few white chocolate and basil leaves topping it are the last gourmet touch of the cake.
You can’t miss it if you want to get a gustative experience and the “new shiver” so coveted by Nabis!
