The broadcast date for Top Chef 2025 has finally been announced! The most famous culinary competition in television history returns on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at 9:10pm on M6. Regular viewers will be joined by a panel of judges including Hélène Darroze, Stéphanie Le Quellec, Philippe Etchebest, Paul Pairet and Glenn Viel, while a host of Michelin-starred chefs will judge the competition as usual. They include Pierre Gagnaire, Alain Ducasse, Alexandre Mazzia, Niko Romito, Karen Torosyan and Anne Coruble.
The season promises to be full of surprises. Among them, the chance for one of the season's short-lived restaurants to win a Michelin star. M6 has announced an unprecedented collaboration with the Michelin Guide.
In detail, the inspectors from the famous red guide will take part, over the long term, in the events of the Top Chef 2025 season. At the end of the competition, they will decide whether or not to award a Michelin star to the Top Chef season 16 winner's temporary restaurant, which will be inaugurated the day after the final and open to the general public. This new award does not replace the cheque promised to the winner (€100,000 divided according to the winner's percentage of votes).
So, in addition to the show's five chef-judges, Michelin inspectors will apply the same skills assessment grid as the red guide( ingredientsourcing, technical mastery, chef's personality, consistency of work, etc.) during certain tests.
They will take part in the results without the chefs and candidates having been informed beforehand - the season has, in fact, already been filmed last autumn, with the exception of the final, during which the inspectors will rate the candidates' ephemeral restaurants. The winner will be able to display the Michelin macaron in the window of his or her ephemeral restaurant.
