In Stains, in Seine-Saint-Denis (93), La Ferme des Possibles runs an organic, community-supported urban farm. Year-round, visitors can explore tours, agroecology workshops, market gardening, herbalism, cooking and wellbeing there.

In Stains, in Seine-Saint-Denis (93), the Ferme des Possibles lives up to its name: this organic and community-minded farm situated at Bois Moussay grows vegetables and fosters social ties on a 1.3-hectare site. The place presents itself as a tool for inclusion, awareness-raising and training in urban agriculture, with an approach oriented toward agroecology, agroforestry, and organic market gardening on living soil.

On site, you encounter a farm conceived as a small ecosystem where people, animals and plants coexist. The Ferme des Possibles offers notably visits lasting 1h30, available year-round for groups of up to 20 people. The tour introduces the farm activities, its history, the day-to-day life of urban farmers, and also Résilience, a bioclimatic building designed in harmony with its environment.

The farm also runs formats centered on urban agriculture, sustainable food, and well-being, with animations for groups and companies. You can thus get started in agroforestry, from October to February, by discovering the garden-forests and planting species suited to the local climate. The workshop notably aims to strengthen biodiversity, promote local and heirloom varieties, and contribute to the creation of an oasis of freshness.

Garden enthusiasts can also sign up for the initiation au maraîchage bio, offered from June to October. The program includes: a look at the work of an urban market gardener, harvesting fruits, vegetables and seeds, essential practices to keep a fertile garden, and, depending on the season, a take-home basket of produce.

Another avenue to explore, the initiation to herbalism, which invites guests to harvest aromatic plants and discover their culinary or medicinal uses. Depending on the season and the facilitator, participants can prepare a plant syrup, a bouquet garni, aromatic salts or an oil macerate. For gourmands, the farm also offers workshops around cooking of the season, anti-waste recipes and healthier alternatives to indulgent dishes.

So we're off to visit an urban organic farm in Seine-Saint-Denis, take part in a workshop on market gardening, discover agroforestry, cook differently, or simply understand how a farming site can become a driver of inclusion!
