Craving fresh, fragrant, locally grown strawberries? To break away from bland supermarket trays, Fragola serves up a gourmet outdoor experience on its urban micro-farm. Located in the heart of the Cité Fertile, this eco-friendly strawberry patch invites locals to pick their own fruit. A rustic, playful outing—perfect for a vitamin boost and a day spent reconnecting with the earth.
Fragola's urban micro-farm has made it its mission to put flavor back on our plates through thoughtful, environmentally friendly farming just outside Paris, in Pantin. Here, no pesticides and no intensive soilless cultivation—only 50 square meters: the strawberries grow in step with nature, across four varieties: Flair, Favori, Charlotte, and Mariguette.
The concept is simple: upon arrival, you’re handed a basket and off you go. You wander between the rows of strawberry plants to spot and pick the ripest, reddest fruit, which you’ll pay for at 19€/kg. In addition to self-picking, the farm — open every Sunday of the season from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. — sells baskets of strawberries picked that morning, ranging from 6 to 10 euros (250–500 g). Don’t forget to book your time slot!
If the idea of walking away with kilos of freshly picked strawberries makes your mouth water, the pick-your-own patch lays down its own rules, entirely dictated by nature: the supply isn’t endless and ripe fruit can vanish quickly. Check ahead on the harvest status, since the strawberry season runs from March to July only. Bring closed-toe shoes and a hat in case of hot weather!
Several times a year, educational and creative workshops tied to urban farming and sustainable food are offered for the whole family. To reach the urban micro-farm, follow the central walkway inside Cité Fertile and keep going to the very end.
