The best burger in Île-de-France 2026 is in Paris! This Wednesday, April 1, Laurent Kalala of the excellent restaurant Bomaye has, indeed, claimed the Île-de-France title with his Le Burgateau burger. He thus earns a spot in the final of the 2026 Burger Cup of France, which takes place on the same day, from 5:15 p.m.
Five contenders squared off for the regional title, but it was the Burger de Bomaye, built around a juicy beef patty, gooey cheese and a brioche bun, that won the judges over. Inspired by "une Afrique contemporaine", it hides bissap, a mafé sauce and a plantain.
With the year’s theme being the burger of the future, its creator explains: "This burger captures a vision of the burger of the future: a product that shakes up visual norms without abandoning its core principles, that tells a strong cultural story, and that turns a popular dish into a sensory and intellectual experience. A burger that looks like a dessert, but eats like a manifesto."
There can be no doubt that this winning burger will soon be on the menu at Bomaye!
