The Loire wines land in Paris for a weekend with the Banquai des Vins Rouges de Loire, staged on 13 and 14 June 2026 along the quai de la Tournelle. This inaugural event invites visitors into the world of Loire reds, through moments of dégustation and sharing on the banks of the Seine.
Designed for lovers of belles bouteilles, the Banquai spotlights eight protected designations of origin: Chinon, Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil, Bourgueil, Saumur, Saumur-Champigny, Saumur Puy-Notre-Dame, Anjou and Touraine. In total, 100 vignerons et vigneronnes are on hand to mingle directly with the public and showcase their cuvées.
But when you drink, you’ve got to eat as well! So a convivial outdoor banquet is laid on along the quayside, on Saturdays and Sundays, with a view of Notre-Dame de Paris. It includes a starter, a main course, cheese and dessert, with a vegetarian option vegetarian. Four glasses of Loire red wine are included, with the option to continue tasting on site.
The menu was crafted by chef Paul Delhommais of the Miettes restaurant in Tours, working alongside his team. His cuisine draws on the produce from the Loire Valley, offering a contemporary reimagining of French classics with modern twists. Conceived in the spirit of winegrowers’ banquets, the event features a range of activities such as live music. Be sure to book your seat!
