Located in the typically Parisian Passage des Panoramas, in a listed building, the French restaurant Canard & Champagne will introduce you to one of the finest combinations of French gastronomy: duck and Champagne. This historic site once housed the boutique of François Marquis, famous chocolatier to the kings of France in the early 19th century.

The restaurant's founders have chosen to preserve and sublimate this exceptional heritage, notably the Napoleon 1800 listed wooden façade and the rare Cordoba leather ceiling. The whole is punctuated by mischievous winks, such as this huge photo of Louis de Funès in Le Grand Restaurant, which seems to have always blended into the decor.
"We thought we'd make the whole menu revolve around duck, and make it a starter-dish-dessert pairing, with a different glass each time: extra brut with the starter, the dish served with a rosé champagne, and for dessert a premier cru blanc de blanc, gourmand with notes of brioche."

The Champagne list features the big houses, but not only:"We indulged ourselves. We didn't want to work only with the big names, but rather with small, quality houses that work biodynamically, respect the vines and make incredible champagne. We went to see the producers and tasted around a hundred Champagnes to put together our menu". In particular, you'll be able to taste Jean-Marc Le Selèque's special cuvée Canard & Champagne.
The menu at Canard & Champagne is a delicious tribute to duck, with a wide variety of recipes revealing our expertise with this exceptional product. For starters, the classics are revisited with finesse: foie gras is available in a traditional version with onion chutney, or pan-fried, accompanied by apples for a sweet-savory note. Duck terrine and rillettes offer comforting, straightforward flavors, while a sucrine salad, spiced up with piquillos and Boule de Lille, adds a vegetal touch full of character.
"In the kitchen, we work with the best duck producers and recipes, and in particular a secret sauce that is served with duck breasts, which sublimates the meat."
As for the dishes, it's hard to go without duck breast, served with a reduced sauce that sublimates the tenderness of the meat. The must-try dishes of French cuisine are well represented, including duck leg confit, a true pillar of the terroir. Alongside them, more original creations add a touch of modernity: juicy duck burger or parmentier with melting shredded duck, for plates that are both generous and full of character.

On the sweet side, Canard & Champagne relies on perfectly executed must-haves. The chocolate mousse, inspired by the Bocuse tradition, will delight fans of powerful, generous flavors (and at your discretion in the evening!). The lemon cheesecake seduces with its balance of tart freshness and melt-in-your-mouth creaminess, while the boldly deconstructed lemon tart is accompanied by a lemon-basil sorbet for a lively, fragrant finish.

Special mention goes to thefloating island, a great French classic, reinterpreted here with lightness and delicacy - a subtle, airy way to end the meal.
At lunchtime, the menu opens up to other classics of French cuisine, with the Fast Duck menu at €20.50, offering a variety of pleasures, before embarking on a 3-course, 3-cup duck-Champagne pairing menu at €69 . A real success story, with no detours and no need to distort the taste of the products.
The cuisine is simple and gourmet, from foie gras to melt-in-your-mouth duck breast, ending with a superb floating island. Parisians and tourists alike love it. Now it's your turn to discover the famous duck and champagne pairing.
