A Vietnamese canteen full of colors and flavors has recently opened its doors in the 17th arrondissement, a stone's throw from the Place de Clichy. You can enjoy delicious Vietnamese dishes, prepared with love by two friendly cooks who obviously know how to handle flavors and revisit the culinary specialties of the country to perfection.
We order a Bo bun Cà Hôi (salmon, soy, honey) - original and tasty - and a beef Bo bun with lemongrass, both composed ofrice vermicelli, organic carrot & cucumber, onion, soy, coriander & fresh mint, peanuts and accompanied by homemade egg rolls with organic quinoa, coriander, edamame and Laughing Cow: a real treat!
When it comes to drinks, James Bun doesn't make it easy for us: mango or lychee juice with basil seeds, coconut water and coconut nata, aloe vera juice, ginger soda, jasmine bubble tea or homemade green tea - everything is so tempting that it's hard to choose!
For the rest, the dessert menu also has a very nice surprise in store. Even if you're not (really) hungry anymore, don't say no to the fondant la belle Hanoi and its coconut heart: a killer!
There is no doubt that James Bun's cuisine seduces us as much as its frontage and its acidulous-retro universe. If its terrace is really pleasant during the nice days, we are already looking forward to come and comfort ourselves on its colored chairs next winter.
As we leave the restaurant, we have a mouthful of this James. Not from Bond, but from Bun this time!
