Lovers of Sicily meet in a little corner of paradise, Rusidda, a delicatessen and restaurant offering a whole host of island specialities, a stone's throw from the Place de la République. A little piece of Italy in Paris!

Calling all gourmet travelers! Rusidda, a delicatessen and restaurant located in the 3rd arrondissement of Paris, near the Place de la République, welcomes gourmets and gourmands on its terrace and inside the store for lunch, dinner or to enjoy an aperitivo offered by the house.

A veritable little corner of Sicily (and paradise...) located on Rue Borda, far from the hustle and bustle of Avenue de Turbigo, for a unique, timeless moment of escape.

The moment you set foot inside this delicatessen, the journey is instantaneous: Sicilian cheeses, charcuterie, lasagne dishes, Italian pastries, pizzoli... So many tasty, homemade dishes, prepared with care by the team of Sicilians who run the store. All products are imported directly from the island, grown by local producers and sold directly in the shop. Curiously, cosmetics and ceramic ornaments are also on sale.

For the record, Rusidda is the grandmother of the store's owner, Francesco Lombardo, who also founded two other establishments a few steps away, Norma and La Massara. And Rusidda is to be found here in all her savoir-faire and love of cooking, with fine, generous dishes that smell of Italian sunshine and vacations. As for the menu, apart from the pizzoli (a kind of panini with bread made from pizza dough), it's the daily specials that you should look out for, with a wide range of dishes on offer. Lasagne, pasta salads and other seasonal fruits and vegetables... you're spoilt for choice.

A menu that the editors were able to try out and particularly loved. For starters, "Sfizioso" pizzoli, made with Mozzarella fior di latte, pancetta, red chicory and gorgonzola. A real treat! We continue with a pesto lasagne, quite delicate in the mouth, perfectly seasoned and light enough not to weigh down the stomach at the end of the meal. Generous portions worthy of a meal at the mamma's... For dessert, a cannolo in the purest Sicilian tradition! In short, THE ideal spot to travel and enjoy the best that Sicily has to offer... Shall we reserve a table, folks?
