Here's an address to discover in the Hauts-de-Seine region. Head for Courbevoie, not far from La Défense, , and push open the doors of Tomahawk, a halal restaurant that's sure to please carnivorous appetites. Here, you'll find a menu that knows how to play on our guilty pleasures, featuring exceptional quality meats , including wagyu beef, as well as a variety of cooking methods. Grilled meats, burgers, smoked or matured meats: here, carnivorous desires are satisfied by fusion cuisine. The restaurant also offers a children's menu comprising a main course, dessert and drink for €13.
To accompany your tasting, you'll find a wide choice of beverages on a 100% alcohol-free menu, with plenty of alternatives. Instead of wine, for example, you'll find aperitifs created by Le Petit Béret, while cocktails feature non-alcoholic recipes that are full of creativity.
The first course features an inventive menu of refined Asian-inspired dishes. Gua Bao, Burrata with truffles, guacamole, briskett balls... so many delicacies to share (or not) as an introduction to this gourmet meal. For lovers of matured meat, you won't want to miss the Nigiri crispy (16€), a reinvented sushi served in threes, featuring a fine balance of texture with an arancini-style breaded rice cake topped with matured and lacquered rubia gallega, topped with black fungus mushrooms and fried onions. A miso and yakinuku mayo sauce spices things up.
Then it's time to get to the heart of the matter with meat dishes. Although prices are relatively high for dinner (the menu is more affordable for lunch), the quality is top-notch. For fans of smoked meat, the Black Angus briskets (€35) will have you salivating.
Smoked for 12 hours, these thin slices of brisket literally melt in your mouth. Grilled meat lovers won't want to miss the Black Angus Picanha (€39), braised in such a way as to give us an almost crispy exterior while preserving a juicy heart with a fine layer of fat. And if we're indulging in our guilty pleasures, we'll opt for fries and homemade mashed potatoes on the side.
Dessert will be the big surprise of this meal, on the one hand because of the large-scale use of dry ice, but also because of the finesse of the 100% homemade creations. The Tomahawk-style Millefeuille (15€) is a truly regressive treat, with a crunchy praline, a creamy mousseline and a mascarpone chantilly.
For those who'd rather finish on a fresh note, the Coconut (14€), served in a half coconut, could well be the right option, with its fluffy sponge cake covered in coconut crème montée and mango coulis. In both cases, we were able to enjoy sweets with a low sugar content that were both delicious and light enough not to weigh us down after a hearty dinner.
