The Terminus Nord brasserie, located next to Gare du Nord station, reopens its doors after months of renovations. The Art Deco spirit of the venue has been elevated by English designer John Whelan.

Dating back to 1925, the brasserie Terminus Nord reopens its doors after several months of renovations. No need to panic—the Art déco spirit of the venue has been perfectly preserved and highlighted by the British designer John Whelan.

A black-and-white storefront with a nod to the Orient-Express vibe, a lovely terrasse that’s open and heated in winter, the return of the bar-counter, marquetry on the walls, navy blue and wood tones, gorgeous mosaïques d’époque, and ceiling mouldings... The esprit parisien par excellence.

On the plate, Terminus Nord still serves traditional dishes, a touch modernized but still authentic: after a morning coffee and croissant at the counter, lunch and dinner feature a pan-seared calf’s liver, a fish & chips, or, why not, oysters, lobsters and langoustines on a grand XXL platter at the shellfish counter.

Open around the clock all day long, the brasserie whisks us back to 1925 and livens up a rather sleepy corner of the 10th arrondissement, near Gare du Nord. The perfect spot for lunch before hopping on a train to London!

Shall we take a quick tour to see the restaurant’s new look?
