Bobi, Oberkampf's Filipino restaurant

Want to take your taste buds on a journey? No need to go far away! Head for Paris's 11th arrondissement to discover BoBi, the capital's new Filipino restaurant!

On the menu, colorful, comforting Filipino home cooking, prepared with carefully sourced products (spices and condiments come directly from the Philippines!).

So expect to discover the emblematic dishes of the Philippine culinary repertoire. Among them, three signature dishes, to be accompanied by bagoong (a sautéed shrimp paste), fried garlic, cucumber pickles and white rice. :

• Adobo is "the country's national dish", a stew of chicken and potatoes in soy sauce and sugarcane vinegar, flavored with garlic and bay leaves.
• Kinilaw is the country's "oldest dish", a recipe based on raw fish from the Cebu region, marinated in sugarcane vinegar, calamansi and ginger, then served with tomatoes, cucumbers, corn and shallots.
• Kare-Kare, or "Filipinos' favorite classic", is beef cooked in a peanut sauce, with eggplant, long beans and pak choï.

Filipino cuisine, little known in Paris, is tinged with the Spanish, Asian and Anglo-Saxon influences that have infused the country over the centuries.

Dishes with a thousand flavors, to be accompanied by drinks that also come from the Filipino tradition (calamansi juice, root beer, cocktails created to order by the bartender from Filipino ingredients) or Kapeng Barako, a coffee from the town of Lipa, powerful and subtly aniseed-flavored!
