And it's a second act for La Boissonnière in Paris! After opening a first outpost in the Sentier area, the warm team behind the concept—made up of Carole, Charlie, Chloé and Martin—gives birth to a fresh newcomer. Heading east in the capital to step through the doors of La Boissonnière Charonne.
Opened on September 3, 2021, this restaurant-bar with a 150-seat capacity has everything to delight the palates and eyes of the epicureans you are. First up is the décoration, modern and bright, inviting you to settle in and linger for hours. Velvet seating, exposed stone, and warm tones set the mood. We also love the fresques — one in particular catching your eye from the outdoor terrace — created by local street artists.

On the menu side, La Boissonnière Charonne follows in the footsteps of its big sister in the Sentier neighborhood, betting on local, seasonal, and carefully sourced ingredients. But the menu is intentionally different from Sentier’s, for example with a more streamlined wine list (70 references, still), always highlighting high-quality vintages, most of them biodynamic or natural. Treat yourself to Les Grands Ducs, a superb Saint-Joseph cuvée signed François Merlin. Otherwise, for bubbles lovers, opt for craft, local beers on tap, also chosen with care.
To accompany these drinks, La Boissonnière Charonne sets the bar high with delicious tapas to share, such as the excellent artichoke cream with white truffle oil or the extraordinary Chef's ceviche, elevated by a hint of coconut. Two real favorites, to the point that diners' palates are begging for more!

We also really enjoyed the house-made gua bao. If you’re after something a bit spicier, opt for the vegetable pakoras, those famed Indian-style fritters packed with green Moroccan chili, and served with combava yogurt and dill to mellow the heat. Yes, at La Boissonnière Charonne, you’re in for a fabulous and memorable culinary journey!
For the rest, the 11th arrondissement restaurant-bar in Paris also offers roasted octopus with miso, duck parmentier croquettes, and a tataki of duck breast.
To end on a sweet note, we can’t help but recommend the deconstructed lemon tart, presented as a lemon crémeux with pieces of mint-chlorophyll meringue and its peppery mint syrup, not forgetting shards of almond biscuit.
We won't say more and we'll let you discover the rest. Fair warning: try it and you'll be hooked! It's certain that La Boissonnière Charonne is poised to become your new go-to spot.
