Notice to night owls looking for trendy hot spots in the capital! Go to Chez Gala, the new festive restaurant a stone's throw from the Champs-Élysées, to embark on an unprecedented culinary & trendy journey from Wednesday to Saturday from 7:30 pm. A true oriental residence of Parisian nights, Chez Gala resurrects with style the great receptions once held in the desert. Welcome to the 21st century version of the Thousand and One Nights!
Take a seat in the middle of a gorgeous retro-oriental décor, enhanced by bushy pink feathered suspensions, and dominated by a majestic peacock. The atmosphere is subdued, the only sources of light are the large colored stained glass windows, lanterns here and there and candles on each table.
If you look up you can see a Berber tent reserved for guests who want more privacy and at the back of the restaurant another alcove offers to dine among Majorelle blue hangings in a very Yves Saint Laurent spirit.
The mystery is at its peak when you see not far from there, nestled in a wall, a fortune teller who will draw your cards for 20€. The escape is total!
2 services, 2 atmospheres - The first service starts at 7:30 pm in an atmosphere that is more conducive to discussion and a change of scenery. From 10pm, the atmosphere goes up a notch! DJ sets, dancing, everyone joins the party! And throughout the evening, beautiful animations will make you travel even more: live artists playing with their oud and violin melodies of the Maghreb and the Orient, singers and oriental dancers.
For us, the Chez Gala experience begins with the Giia by Gala, the signature cocktail recommended by the hot spot's master bartender, a delicious elixir made with coriander-infused vodka, elderflower liqueur and lychee juice emulsified with aquafaba.
On the gastronomic side, the dishes are prepared by Chef Vladimir Rapoport, who has worked in the kitchens of Alain Passard and Jean-François Piège, with exceptional products, French meats and vegetables, most of which come from organic farms. With the groups Entourage Paris and Culture, the Chef pays tribute to his Algerian origins in the most beautiful and succulent way.
The show continues on the plate! - For the tasting we opted for a selection of dishes to share, a typical tradition of oriental gastronomy. For the appetizer, our choice was the variation of hummus in three colors, the magenta (red beet & hibiscus), the yellow (lemon confit & Iranian black lemon), and the green (avocado, mint and coriander), our favorite! To vary the pleasures, we also tasted the lamb & veal brochettes Kefta style, with mint sauce. Verdict: an extremely tender and finely seasoned meat to fall!
The dish arrives, the show begins! For us it was the whole roasted bass with cumin butter, coriander & candied lemons that arrived with great pomp, under dancing flames. After the demonstration of the boning, the fish is served with a potato mousse with cinnamon, a divine and surprising association as light as a cloud. Vegetarians can enjoy the vegetable tagine, melting and colorful.
Finally, the apotheosis arrives... Without a doubt, we chose the Paris-Casa cabbage with sesame and praline diplomatic cream, a pastry nugget in which the textures are in perfect harmony, elevating the delicacy to the highest rank! The pink-raspberry macaroon to share also closes the gustatory show, as tasty as it is generous.
A gourmet escape filled with beauty and mysteries to be experienced at the bend of La Plus Belle Avenue du Monde!
Presence of the fortune teller on Thursdays and Fridays from 8pm to 10:30pm.
