The return of the sun heralds the reopening of the city's terraces, and among these, the most discreet, indiscernible from the street, are among our favorites. Such is the case of the Patio de la Réserve Paris Hôtel & Spa, which reveals its finest assets as soon as the celestial star appears.
Step through the door and lightly stroll across the lobby to a secret oasis just a stone's throw from the Champs-Elysées: that's what this charming 5-star boutique hotel offers you, with the assurance of a timeless experience far removed from the hustle and bustle of the world's most beautiful avenue and its surroundings.
There, under the tall trees, where luxury, calm and voluptuousness reign, we dream of our next vacation. In this most intimate of green settings, between palm trees and ferns left to their own devices, this little interlude of salvation is also one of the tastiest, as chef Jérôme Banctel, recently crowned with a third star at the fabulous gastronomic restaurant Le Gabriel, signs a fresh and lively seasonal menu.
Open 7 days a week, from 8am to 9:30pm with continuous service, the patio at La Réserve Paris Hôtel & Spa is the place to enjoy the House's great classics alongside delicate summer creations. For example, the sea bream dviche (42€), enlivened with a dash of lime, almond milk and coriander; or the lobster roll (39€) with its shellfish juice mayonnaise. The seaside is not far away.
Perfectly pearly monkfish, the noble fish of the day (65€), is accompanied by a healthy quinoa salad, but it was certainly thelamb confit (65€) that stole our gourmet hearts that day. Cooked for a long time, it shreds without the help of a knife, and the divinely reduced sauce with its otherworldly flavors is all the more satisfying. A great dish.
Desserts, too, are getting into the swing of summer. The work of pastry chef Jordan Talbot, they end the meal on a fresh, delicate note. Sublime raspberry tartlet (18€) with a perfectly tart raspberry and piquillo compote and a shortcrust pastry that would make your mother, even though she's a very good pastry chef, blush, or invigorating frosted lemon (20€) with almond for extra roundness.
La Réserve Paris Hôtel & Spa 's ice cream cart has also made a comeback, with the option of taking ice creams and sorbets with you on your stroll around the neighborhood!
