At boulangerie SAIN, chef Anthony Courteille provides you all year long with new, original and mouthwatering pastries. But for the summer 2021, the chef has decided to focus on another treat: sandwich, to eat on the go by the Canal Saint-Martin!
Like breads served in the SAIN bakery (SAIN meaning “Saveurs d’Antan Ingrédients Naturels” or Natural Ingredients Flavors from Yesteryear), sandwiches are “cooked” and renewed with the season and the current inspirations.
No “tradition” or baguette with white crumb at SAIN. The “Francis” baguette is the first baguette 100% made with old-fashioned wheats, including natural yeast and made by hand. Slightly smoked with hay after baking, this is the baguette Anthony uses to make this sandwich stuffed with omelet, piperade, basil, and pine nuts.
Available all year around, Le Parisien, made with ham and butter and the Francis baguette is filled with hand-crafted “Le Prince de Paris” ham, butter from the Ferme de Viltain (78), grilled onion tops, and homemade pickled cucumbers.
Made with the bakery’s signature bread, the Saint-Martin, this sandwich is based on artichoke, Italian scamorza cheese, taggiasche olives, and sage.
And there is nothing quite like wrapping up your meal by SAIN but some nice handmade ice cream, right? It is perfect since for the summer 2021, the bakery has thought about small and big foodies with a collection of homemade ice creams. To enjoy as a soft-serve or put in a bun!
To choose: pain au chocolat ice cream, strawberry sorbet, or CBD and honey ice cream!
We do not know about you, but all of them are mouthwatering!
