Craving a sweet break? About treating you to one of the best teatimes in town? After a vanilla and a Christmas version, Maxence Barbot's new teatime or afternoon tea, as it only includes sweet treats, is to be enjoyed now at La Bauhinia, Shangri-La Paris.

Open to all on Saturdays and Sundays from 2:30 p.m. to 6 p.m., this afternoon tea has it all. And the new version changing every season is to die for!

Let us start with a hot drink: cappuccino, sophisticated tea or even indulging hot chocolate to mix to your taste, here is how to kick festivities off.

Then, we went for the pastry plate, but you can start with the plate of your choice. When we came we got the rhubarb cheesecake to awaken the taste buds, a super crunchy puff pastry with real blueberries and coulis on the inside, and some peppy Tropézienne with lime zest, orange blossom and pollen.

We then moved to the cakes and viennoiseries. We fell in love with the divine apricot turnover, crispy on the outside, and stuffed with sour compote. The diamond tart with smooth pistachio prlaine, caramel and hazelnut is to die for.

And to finish on a great note, the big piece at the bottom of the tray changing over the seasons. When we came, we got the Cottage cheese tart and glazed cherries. Crunchy and crispy, not too sweet, we loved the sourness of the cottage cheese perfectly matching the freshness of the cherries, crunchy and stoned.

Allow about €55 per person or €100 for 2 to share this indulging break in a prestigious location! Allow between €75 and €140 for two for the champagne version. You can go blindly, these pastries are simply divine, delicious, and so well put together, you will fall in love with them!
