Created in 2014 by Pierre de Léotard, the brand Harper’s now owns 4 restaurants: rue Réaumur in the 3rd arrondissement, at Les Batignolles, Montparnasse and rue Letor in Paris 18th arrondissement.
In 2018 he calls in chef Fabrizio Guerrini (former Uptown chef) and changes the concept: from coffee shop and typically American bistro, Harper’s becomes a bistronomic restaurant, more French, where the cuisine of the executive chef Fabrizio, tinted with American twists and other cuisines from all over the world, is expressed.
The restaurant set in rue Réaumur has opened this spring only and works as the new concept flagship.
Goodbye burgers. On the menu only 4 starters, 4 main courses, 4 desserts only based on fresh produces and the whole is homemade. And of course, some dishes of the day and a brunch in the weekend.
You get it, the menu is said to often change.
The place in the 3rd arrondissement opens up to art since every month, it offers a different exhibition.
All made of patio doors, as soon as sunny days are here, Harper’s is bathed in sun.
When we came, we have enjoyed a homemade and refreshing iced tea, made to order even though it was not on the menu.
We also enjoyed the chef’s signature dish, his Black Angus beef hanger steak that marinated in Yamamoto soy sauce for several days. A very tasty meat, but also very tender.
If you don’t know Harper’s yet or if you only knew about the former concept, it’s time to come back and (re)discover the brand.
