Set in the heart of the Musée du Quai Branly, the Café Branly changes its look and name on the same occasion. The entire place has been thought over, redecorated, reorganized under the supervision of Ducasse Culture.
The decorum has been designed by Alienor Béchu, betting on transparency, bench seats and white marbled tables, tan leather armchairs and large patio doors featuring incredible views on the terrace and especially on the Eiffel Tower!
On the menu, young executive chef Aurelio de la Lliave (trained at Bistrot Benoît in New York) provides a simple and fresh cuisine giving pride of place to vegetables and fresh and local produces.
For instance, we enjoy Benedict eggs with smoked salmon, quinoa duo, salmon fillet, lentils and parsley coulis, or the dish in tribute to Jacques Chirac including a delicious brioche bread with seeds, a vegetarian patty with Espelette pepper (lentils, corn, navy bean, onion, scallion, piquillos, homemade ketchup, cucumber, romaine salad), the whole served with green salad.
As for desserts, classics such as flan, chocolate tartlet, or rum baba complete the gourmet offer. It's a feast for the eyes when we discover the lovely and mouthwatering pastries available. We end the meal with a jar of creamy chocolate by Manufacture Ducasse served with its madeleine.
In short, the perfect place to have a break after visiting a nice exhibition at the museum!
