The Musée du Quai Branly - Jacques Chirac welcomes you again this year for the Fête de la Science, with workshops and guided tours based on current exhibitions, on October 7 and 8, 2023.

Discovering science in a new way—that's what the Science Festival offers across the capital! Throughout the week, enjoy free, fun-filled activities and animations at various museums, universities, and other institutions across Île-de-France. Meet scientists and professionals around the theme Sport and Science, just in time for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. It's a great opportunity to raise awareness among the public about the scientific issues of today.

In the capital city, the Musée du Quai Branly – Jacques Chirac welcomes visitors on October 7 and 8, 2023 for its 32nd edition. Dedicated to the arts and civilizations of Africa, Asia, Oceania, and the Americas, the museum is located near the Eiffel Tower, on the Left Bank of the Seine in the 7th arrondissement of Paris. Opened in 2006 and named after the former French president, it houses a remarkable collection of around 370,000 objects, including sculptures, masks, textiles, ritual artifacts, and much more.

In addition to its permanent collection, the museum regularly hosts temporary exhibitions and a variety of activities that showcase the diverse facets of art, local traditions, and regional cultures.

    For the Fête de la science, the museum invites you to delve into the fascinating world of medicinal plants and botanical knowledge.
    On the occasion of the Fête de la science 2025 on the theme Intelligence(s), and echoing the exhibition Amazônia. Indigenous Creations and Futures, the musée du quai Branly - Jacques Chirac explores traditional botanical knowledge and the empirical knowledge of plants.
    Through activities and guided tours based on healing knowledge and shamanic practices, the public is invited to discover the wealth of medicinal plants and the way in which they form part of cultural and sensitive relationships with nature.
