Café-salon de thé Rose Bakery in the Musée de la Vie Romantique is a haven of peace in the heart of Paris's 9th arrondissement. Designed by Émilie Bonaventure and Thierry Dalcant, this tea room invites you to enjoy its delicious pastries on a leafy terrace and in a comfortable greenhouse.
Located at 16 rue Chaptal, in the Hôtel Scheffer-Renan, the tea room is accessible via the museum courtyard. Open from Tuesday to Sunday, all year round. You'll find a varied menu of drinks and treats, including cookies, cakes, scones and savory tarts, accompanied by fragrant tea.
The Musée de la Vie Romantique is a little-known landmark nestled in the heart of the "New Athens" district. The former home of the Romantic painter Ary Scheffer, it now houses a confidential tea room run by Rose Bakery. The calm, leafy garden provides the perfect setting for lunch or a snack, while the greenhouse is open in case of bad weather.
The Rose Bakery tearoom offers sweet and savory dishes all year round in the museum's greenhouse and garden. For lunch, indulge in quiches and homemade salads, and throughout the day, enjoy carrot cake, cookies, brownies, tarts and cheese cake.
Far from the hustle and bustle of the capital, this peaceful spot continues to inspire today's artists. It transports you to the heart of the countryside for a bucolic, gourmet break.
The tearoom is open Tuesday to Sunday, 10am to 6pm, closed on Mondays and the following public holidays: January 1, May 1 and December 25. Access by metro: Saint-Georges (line 12), Pigalle (line 2 or 12), Blanche (line 2).
Don't hesitate to discover this unique place in the heart of Paris, where you can relax and enjoy the gourmet pleasures offered by the Rose Bakery tearoom at the Musée de la Vie Romantique. And if you like what they do, be sure to discover the Rose Bakery nestled in the Jardin du Musée de Balzac, another hidden corner of Paradise that's well worth the detour and the gourmet break.
