If there was one universal ingredient, found in every single culture, it would definitely be chicken. And this is chicken that Poulet Poulette restaurant – set in Paris 6th arrondissement, close to Montparnasse – has decided to bet on.
But careful though, at Poulet Poulette – open since July 2015 – not any kind of chicken is served. Here one enjoys Red Label Challans free range chicken, please. Chicken coming in many recipes: roasted, marinated, in wrap, fried, in burger, grilled… Is it useful to add everything is fresh and homemade?
Premium burgers are made with buns coming straight from La Parisienne bakery (Paris best baguette 2016) as one of the stores is set within walking distance from Poulet Poulette. Committed with a locavore approach, the restaurant supplies in potatoes at François la patate in Val d’Oise. With these potatoes are made delicious homemade French fries, cooked the Belgian way, namely in two oil baths.
Poulet Poulette menu aims at making you travel through flavors that could be Indian-inspired or Oriental-inspired. Marinades served with chicken change with every recipe. Therefore, in each dish, chicken has a unique flavor you can find in no other recipe by Poulet Poulette.
Poulet Poulette menu also features roast chicken, several salads and burgers. Among these burgers, there is the Z (like in Zahir, the boss’s name), the house’s signature recipe with pulled cilantro chicken, fried onions, cheddar and sundried tomatoes. Of the Chihiro currently competing in Paris Burger Week. This Chihiro is based on honey and soy-marinated chicken breast coated in breadcrumbs and fried, spinach sprouts, tomatoes, avocado, and cheddar. A very original and delicious recipe.
As for drinks, Poulet Poulette serves Jomo iced tea. Organic, coming from Île-de-France and low in sugar, these are little wonders.
