Ideally located between rue des Abbesses and rue Lepic, Café Aristide, the new cocktail bar-restaurant of Hôtel Monsieur Aristide, is open for a gourmet break at any time of day.
As you enter this charming little hotel, you discover a large central bar with a small, cosy restaurant at the back. Continuing on, a pretty terrace overlooking an inner courtyard, hidden away like a speakeasy, reveals itself to you for lunching or lounging outside on sunny days.
As for the decor, Marion Collard, the architect, was inspired by the history of the place. Here, she takes us back in time with vintage and antique pieces, all in an atmosphere of old Paris.
In the evening, sit down to a lovely candlelit table and enjoy a delicious meal. On the menu are mezzes, small plates to share and beautifully prepared dishes.
To begin with, let yourself be seduced by Aristide's excellent Stracciatella, beet and walnuts and his plate of divine charcuterie.
We then continue with the Smoked Herring with Carrot and Apple and the delicious Crudo of Wild Sea Bass with Spicy Virgin Sauce.
For the main course, we're crazy about Casarecces au Ndugo alla Puttanesca, a Neapolitan-style fresh pasta with a good taste of tomato sauce, capers, olives and chilli. Served piping hot, they're a knockout.

If you're more of a fish person, opt for the crispy-skinned sea bream fillet, accompanied by melting chard and peppercorn purée tips.
For a sweet finish, we love the orange-flavored chocolate mousse with its crunchy hazelnuts and zest.
How about a break from the daily grind?
