There will be slasher movies to enjoy this Halloween 2022. The horrific Halloween saga started in 1978 by John Carpenter finally comes to an end. Halloween Ends, the ultimate instalment of the adventures of killer Michael Myers starring Jamie Lee Curtis is out on October 19, 2022, in French movie theaters. Namely a year (minus one day) after the previous opus, Halloween Kills.
The last instalment of the masked killer and Laurie Strode saga, starring Jamie Lee Curtis since 1978, is once again created by the same team that relaunched the franchise in 2018, and releasing their third movie. Behind the lens, David Gordon Green directing a story cowritten with Danny McBride. As for production, it is entrusted to John Carpenter and Jason Blum.
In addition to Jamie Lee Curtis who at age 63 plays Laurie Strode one last time, the cast stars Andi Matichak, Kyle Richards, Judy Greer and Will Patton already starring in Halloween Kills.
Four years after the Halloween Kills events, Laurie (Jamie Lee Curtis) now lives with her grand-daughter Allyson (Andi Matichak) and finishes writing her memoirs. Michael Myers has not been seen lately.
