It’s probably the most famous restaurants on the Champs-Elysées… Fouquet's – celebrating its 120th anniversary – will give a slice of its birthday cake, a mille-feuille, to passersby on Sunday November 24, 2019 for free.
After closing for a few months for renovations because of the violence during the Yellow Jacket movement, it’s now with happiness and good mood that the restaurant expects to celebrate its 120th anniversary.
On the occasion, Fouquet’s cooks and pâtissiers have decided to take up a challenge: baking in two hours as many mille-feuilles as possible. The restaurant’s star dessert costs €14 on the menu.
In concrete words, ten Fouquet’s pâtissiers will set up on the terrace of the restaurant this Sunday afternoon from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. (just in time for an afternoon break) to prepare mille-feuilles. Small slices will be handed over for free to passersby by waiters in rollers. The whole enlivened by a live orchestra.
And before the Avenue des Champs Elysées gets into the Christmas spirit for the first time this year…
