Halloween 2023: learn to carve your own pumpkin at Ferme du Viltain (78)

During the All Saints' Day vacations, Viltain Farm is offering children the chance to take part in a pumpkin carving workshop, in preparation for Halloween. From October 21 to November 5, 2023, bring the whole family to discover Viltain farm in Jouy-en-Josas in the Yvelines region, and leave with your own Jack o' Lantern carved by your children.

Children aged 4 and over will be welcomed between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. by reservation, under a tent near the store to carve their own pumpkin (the price is included in the workshop fee). After or before the workshop, this is also an opportunity to visit the milking parlour and the stables where the farm's little calves live, which can be visited every day of the year, from 9am to 7pm. From 3.30pm onwards, don't miss the opportunity to watch the cows being milked, to see how milk is extracted on a farm like Ferme de Viltain!

Then, even if you're spending the afternoon or day at the farm, take the opportunity to pick up seasonal fruit, vegetables and flowers at Cueillette de Viltain: if you feel like digging up some more pumpkins when you get home, you can pick some directly from the farm's fields. Alternatively, take a trip to the market to stock up on locally grown or made produce!
