Every year at the same time, the Fête de la Science takes over museums, universities and media libraries, highlighting scientists and their work. Initiated by Hubert Curien in 1991, every year the Fête de la Science offers a series of original, participatory events all over France. On the program? Laboratory visits, live shows, experiments and walks through the many science villages. Of course, these events are also geared towards the very young, to help them discover science.
In Paris and elsewhere in the Île-de-France region, a number of venues are opening their doors to this popular, free event. If you live in the Val-d'Oise, there's no shortage of good ideas. Take Sarcelles, for example. Bordering Montmagny, Groslay, Saint-Brice-sous-Forêt, Écouen, Villiers-le-Bel, Arnouville and Garges-lès-Gonesse, as well as Stains and Saint-Denis, Sarcelles is located around 15 kilometers from Paris.
Sarcelles has a rich cultural calendar throughout the year, enabling residents to enjoy music, cinema, books, theater and dance. This autumn, it's time for the Fête de la Science, with several events to be discovered at the Station Numixs and the Médiathèque intercommunale Anna Langfus.

What is intelligence? Emotional, social, creative or logical: participants will explore its different forms through exchanges and collaborative mini-challenges.
They will then plunge into the world of artificial intelligence by playfully testing tools such as Teachable Machine or Machine Learning for Kids.
A workshop to question, experiment and have fun with the intelligences of today... and tomorrow
Artificial intelligence is now part of our daily lives, often admired, sometimes feared, but still largely unknown. The aim of this event is to provide an accessible and convivial opportunity to better understand what AI really is, its concrete uses and the issues it raises in our personal and professional lives.
The first part will cover how AI works, its current applications, its limits and its ethical implications. This one-hour conference will be followed by a 30-minute discussion period, in order to share experiences, questions and points of view, in a benevolent and open environment.
An ideal event for those who want to learn, understand or simply exchange ideas on this fascinating subject, without the need for technical knowledge.
