Bastille Day 2026 in Évry-Courcouronnes (91): fireworks canceled, firefighters' ball still on.

Following a prefectural order, fireworks are banned in Essonne until July 15. As a result, the town of Évry-Courcouronnes must cancel the July 14 celebrations at Parc de la Dame du Lac, including the fireworks display.

However, the events planned for July 13 are going ahead. So join us on July 13 from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Boulevard des Coquibus for the republican parade, featuring displays by the security, rescue, and armed forces. Then head to the traditional firefighters' ball from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. at Square Jean-Paul II.

For all French people, the July 14 celebrations are an event not to be missed for any reason. Military parade, fireworks, a public ball—every possible means are used to mark this very special day. As you surely know, July 14 is a date remembered for the storming of the Bastille in 1789, a symbol of the end of absolute monarchy. July 14 is also the Fête de la Fédération in 1790, which marks the unity of the French nation.

Republican parade and vehicle display — go ahead as planned

July 13, 2026, 4:30–6:00 p.m. — Boulevard des Coquibus

A vehicle exhibition will take place on Boulevard des Coquibus on July 13, starting at 4:30 p.m. Come to the vehicle exhibition organized for Bastille Day. Discover the gear used by security forces, emergency services, and the various branches of the armed forces. A cocktail reception will follow the exhibition.

Firefighters' Ball — goes ahead as planned

July 13, 2026, from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. - Jean-Paul II Square

The traditional firefighters’ ball will be held at Jean-Paul II Square on July 13 from 7 p.m. The event, organized for Bastille Day, will start at 7 p.m. at Jean-Paul II Square in Évry-Courcouronnes. Get ready for a festive evening!

Fireworks display - canceled

July 14, 2026 at 8:00 PM - Parc de la Dame du Lac

A special evening is on the program for Tuesday, July 14, starting at 8 p.m., in Évry-Courcouronnes. As every year, the town organizes an event to celebrate Bastille Day. On the agenda: from 8 p.m., food stalls and a concert will take place at Parc de la Dame du Lac. At 11 p.m., a fireworks display will light up the sky.
