As every year at Christmas, the log from 30 Montaigne wins the title of the most couture dessert of the season. This time, multi-starred chef Yannick Alléno takes up the torch left by Jean Imbert and signs his very first festive creation for Le Jardin du 30 Montaigne. Available in a limited edition from December 15 (reservations can be made from December 1), this log pays tribute to Monsieur Dior's unapologetic love of good food, who considered gastronomy to be as essential an art form as couture.
The silhouette is nothing short of iconic. Draped in velvety white pleated petals, the log is inspired by the Francis Poulenc haute couture dress designed by Christian Dior in 1950. Clean, delicate, perfectly sculpted pleats:Dior elegance, but served as a dessert. You could almost believe you were touching fabric... yet it is chocolate that leads the dance.
In terms of flavors, a creamy grand cru dark chocolate for depth, a crunchy hazelnut for texture, a mandarin marmalade for a fruity twist, then a gingerbread-flavored mousse and a cocoa biscuit for a warm touch. In short, taste and style.
In short, a haute couture log that promises a Christmas full of elegance and generosity. A sculptural creation that promises to elevate the holidays to a precious moment... and shine at the center of the table.
