This is a time of year that food lovers wouldn't miss for anything in the world! I'm talking about tasting the famous galette des rois. OnEpiphany, it takes pride of place on many family tables. Whetheroriginal or traditional, galettes des rois are a delight for food lovers of all ages. In 2026, there will once again be so many galettes to choose from that it will be hard to know which one to try. That's why the Chamber of Trades and Craftsand the Federation of Bakers and Pastry Chefs of 91/78/95 organize annual competitions to find the best galette des rois. Before the Grand Paris competition, it's time for the 2026 Val-d'Oise best almond galette competition, which attracted more than 60 entrants this year!
Remember, last year, you had to go to the Aux 3 Petits Choux bakery and pastry shop in L'Isle-Adam. This year, you'llhave tohead to Tavernyin January 2026 to be sure of a treat. Maison Bunel, run by Patrick Bunel, wins this prestigious award in the employer category. A great place to note for frangipane lovers!
