Imagine a weekend where stones and canvases come alive... On September 20 and 21, 2025, the European Heritage Days invite you to plunge into a world where history is both contemplated and experienced. Free and open to all, this European event opens the doors of remarkable and sometimes inaccessible sites, for two days rich in discovery. Iconic museums, private mansions, emblematic institutions and unusual places reveal themselves in a new light, letting your senses wander like a palette of pigments on a blank canvas.

This Sunday, September 21, we've got a wildcat on the loose in the Yvelines region (78) ! If you're visiting Chambourcy, take the opportunity to discover the Maison-musée André Derain. Purchased by the commune in 2014 and listed as a historic monument since 1986, this mansion, formerly known as La Roseraie, has been restored to the atmosphere in which the master of Fauvism lived and worked between 1935 and 1954. Surrounded by flamboyant friends - Picasso, Braque, Giacometti - Derain left here more than canvases: a living space between creation and contemplation. Inside, his studio still breathes the energy of his pigments, while his collections of books from around the world invite us to travel, and the refurbished spaces echo the great figures of twentieth-century art. Outside, the park extends the visit.
