Like summer's hit song, every year the summer months in Paris see the emergence of a number of hot spots that are quickly besieged by Parisians and tourists alike. But in the capital, one year follows another and no two are alike: every summer, a district of Paris stands out as the hotspot of the season. This time, the epicenter of the festivities is likely to be the Bois de Vincennes.
To draw crowds from the four corners of the capital, three iconic Parisian terraces are setting up shop in the Bois de Vincennes, each unveiling an unusual concept. La Bamba, formerly known as JardinSuspendu, is back in the Parc Floral. At Porte Dorée, the famous Rosa Bonheur is back in the guinguette spirit! Last but not least, Le Chalet du Lac, the flagship address in the Bois de Vincennes, creates a surprise by installing a giant beach.

The most famous of Parisian guinguettes also offers you a hot spot in a green, bucolic and historic setting in Paris: the Chalet de la Porte Jaune. Beyond these three festive addresses, the Bois de Vincennes is also a spot where everyone can agree. Whether you're looking for a good time with friends, a romantic moment with your loved ones or a family outing, there's something for everyone. You can explore the Parc Floral, enjoying a Rosalie ride among the peacocks, while the younger ones have fun in the cannon playground that awaits them. The Paris Farm is also a not-to-be-missed spot for animal encounters.
On Lac Daumesnil or Lac des Minimes, you can rent a rowboat for a beautiful trip along the water. Don't forget to visit the Palais de l'Immigration, home to theTropical Aquarium, and the Château de Vincennes.

The Parc Floral is the largest park in Paris, located in the Bois de Vincennes, a stone's throw from the Château. In addition to its superb vegetation, it's a giant park with outdoor games for children, mini-golf, Rosalie rides, exhibitions and sales, shows, a butterfly hothouse and many other treasures. The Bois de Vincennes also abounds in more secret and surprising spots. For example, there's a pagoda featuring a Tibetan Buddhist temple, relics of the historic Buddha donated by Thailand and Europe's tallest Buddha. The Jardin d'Agronomie Tropicale (Tropical Agronomy Garden) is also a strange place, with the remains of pavilions from the 1907 Colonial Exhibition. This derelict site has now been partially restored and presents an unusual setting. Finally, since 2017, the Bois de Vincennes has been home to a naturist zone for part of the year!
