This Wednesday, the ecologists submitted to the Paris Council the idea of a very reduced rate in the cinemas of the capital during periods of high heat, a boost for the profession as for the planet.

During the hot weather, Parisians are looking for coolness by all means and cinemas are an excellent place to take refuge! But given the price of tickets and the galloping inflation, it is difficult to stay in the cinema all day, especially for the most precarious! That's why the ecologists have proposed to the Paris Council a reduced rate during the heat peaks in the capital, more and more common over the years.

A measure that would help cinemas, struggling since the health crisis, but also the planet, since it would limit the use of individual air conditioning that worsens climate disruption. "Collectivize the use of cooled spaces" for the most vulnerable and those who can not go on vacation, therefore. Since a new heat wave is expected next week, the ecologists wanted toexperiment quickly, but their wish was not heard, since only the study of the modalities was voted.

A delay that Fatoumata Koné, president of the Green group at the Paris Council, is sorry about... In the meantime, only young people and seniors benefit from reduced prices at the cinema.
