This year, the tramway T2 terminus at Porte de Versailles will be undergoing major changes, and therefore major works, first from March 3 to March 16, then from March 17 to November 2, 2025. The first traffic stoppage concerns the project to improve operating conditions on the line, with a closure between Porte de Versailles and Issy-Val de Seine, making the latter station the temporary terminus, from where a replacement bus service will be set up by RATP. According to Actu Paris, the work will last longer than announced, until February 2026.
Extended as part of the Porte de Versailles restructuring works, until November 2, 2025, with a temporary terminus at Suzanne Lenglen station this time, RATP has clarified that this is not a delay"but the initial schedule unveiled in two stages". There will also be a further interruption between Porte de Versailles and Issy-Val de Seine from November 3 to 23, 2025 inclusive.
Why this work? The T2 is one of the busiest tramway lines on the network, but it seems that"its current infrastructure is unable to cope with all operating contingencies". Ile-de-France Mobilités has therefore approved the T2 ACE (Amélioration des Conditions d'Exploitation) project to try to improve the situation, with the creation of turning lanes at Porte de Versailles station, the shifting of the station by around a hundred meters, the creation of side platforms and new pedestrian walkways.
