The 8-storey building burst into flames in the early evening of Tuesday, July 15, 2025, and explosions were heard by various witnesses. Thebuilding in question is theMessager, not far from Gare de Lyon and Bercy. According to Le Figaro, 180 firefighters and 60 trucks were mobilized to bring the blaze under control, and so far no casualties or injuries have been reported.
