It was one of the capital's most talked-about major projects: to be able to swim in the Seine once again in Paris. Legal swimming in the Seine has not been possible for a century. For summer 2025, three new bathing sites have been inaugurated: Bras Marie, opposite theÎle Saint Louis, Bercy and Grenelle , overlooking the Eiffel Tower. Swimmers are required to wear buoys supplied on site, and water quality is monitored. If conditions are right, swimmers can access the pools. Otherwise, swimming is prohibited.
