Journées du Patrimoine 2025: transport works for the weekend of September 20 and 21

The Journées du Patrimoine 2025 (Heritage Days 2025 ) take place this weekend , September 20 and 21, and invite you to discover hundreds of unusual places, monuments usually closed to the public and other little-known spots, thanks to guided tours or fun activities, in the capital but also throughout theIle-de-France region. But to get there, you first have to get around, on foot, by bike or by public transport. As every year, there are a number of roadworks and closures that may require a little extra organization!

This time, no metro lines are closed, and everything should be running if the strike of Thursday September 18 is not renewed, but for the RER and Transilien, some towns are less accessible than normal. Check thelist of work sites now, so as not to find yourself at a disadvantage if certain places are difficult to access, especially in the regions of Yvelines, Val d'Oise or Seine-Saint-Denis.

Journées du Patrimoine 2025 in Paris: traffic restrictions to be expected
The Journées du Patrimoine (Heritage Days) return to Paris and the rest of the Île-de-France region on Saturday September 20 and Sunday September 21, 2025, with a host of must-see attractions.
