But this cultural event is not without consequences. To ensure the smooth running of the Journées du Patrimoine and"guarantee the safety of people and property", the Paris Prefecture of Police has issued a number of orders. The aim? To temporarily modify traffic flow in the center of the capital, notably in the vicinity of the Banque de France and the Conseil d'État. So, what exactly can we expect? Here are the traffic restrictions scheduled in Paris on September 20 and 21, 2025, to mark the new Journées du Patrimoine.
In detail,"all motorized vehicles" will be banned from Rue La Vrillière, between Rue La Feuillade and Rue Catinat, from 7:00 am on September 19 to 6:00 pm on September 22, 2025.
On September 20 and 21, 2025, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, traffic will also be prohibited on rue Saint-Honoré, between rue de Rohan and rue de Valois, and around place du Palais Royal.
In the event of infringement,"vehicles used to commit these offences may be immobilized and impounded", reminds the Paris Prefecture of Police. Please note that further decrees may be published in the near future, so stay tuned.
