Starting March 28, 2027, passengers will be able to reach Paris-Charles de Gaulle Terminal 2 directly from Paris-Est station by taking the CDG Express. With a journey time of just 20 minutes, this future service aims to make travel easier for both French and international travelers. But how much will a ticket on the CDG Express cost? Will the Navigo Pass be valid or offer a discount? Here’s what we know.

Since the direct Roissybus line was discontinued on March 1, 2026, there aren’t many options for getting to Roissy airport from Paris. The RER B remains the obvious choice, with a journey time of about 35 to 40 minutes from Châtelet. Another option? Jump on bus 9517, which connects Roissy-Paris-Charles de Gaulle from Argenteuil via Saint-Denis-Pleyel. Looking ahead to 2030, it will also be possible to reach Roissy from the capital by taking the future line 17 of the Grand Paris Express.

In the meantime, Parisians and visitors will have a new service to count on: the CDG Express. With a launch date set for March 28, 2027, the future CDG Express line will link directly from Paris-Est station to Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport, Terminal 2, in just 20 minutes, with no intermediate stops. To ease travel for French and international passengers, the CDG Express will run every 15 minutes from 5 a.m. to midnight, and will connect with the RER B, D and E, the metro (lines 2, 4, 5 and 7), the Transilien network (lines H, K and P), and several bus lines.
