New edition of Fête de la musique in Paris and Île-de-France on June 21, 2026! Every June 21 since 1982, French people are invited to take to the streets with their instruments and let live music ring out. On that same date each year, budding musicians and singers take over the streets—boulevards, squares, bridges—and spill into gardens and parks, as well as cafés, bars and restaurants, and sometimes even churches and museums. The aim? To pay tribute to music in all its forms for just one day.
From rock to metal, rap, RnB, salsa, reggae, zouk, classical, French variety, jazz, blues, funk and electro... all styles will be featured on June 21, thanks to the talent of amateur musicians, as well as some well-known artists giving free concerts for the occasion.
In Paris, there’s no shortage of great music plans with some unmissable events, from the Olympia, to the parvis of the 15th arrondissement town hall, and onto Place de la Bastille. Across Île-de-France, the party continues, too, with highlights like L’Isle-Adam. This Val-d’Oise town is once again joining the Fête de la musique lineup by offering residents an eclectic program at its Plage. But note: this year the Île-de-France commune in the 95 is inviting everyone to join on Friday, June 19, 2026, two days ahead of the official celebration!
