With no musical knowledge necessary (or even voice accuracy...), the Envie de Chanter pop choir, directed by Marco Avallone, offers you the opportunity to participate in a special session.

Filiations and friendships
This program of French Romantic music features rare, recently published early works by Gabriel Fauré, César Franck and Camille Saint-Saëns. They illustrate the musical filiation between these composers of different generations, united also by friendly ties.

Messa di Gloria by Puccini

Composed in 1878, the Messa di Gloria is Giacomo Puccini's main choral work. While the famous Italian composer is best known for his operas, in the Messa he gives the choir the leading role. Showing an extraordinary melodic sense, the young composer makes the choir sing numerous themes but also formidable contrapuntal parts. The Messa di Gloria, which will be presented in its version for two soloists, choir and piano, will be surrounded by three motets by Gioachino Rossini.

Sunday, February 12 - 2pm
