When the holidays set in, the big screen comes out of the dark cinema halls. In Goussainville, Val-d’Oise, four free outdoor film screenings will welcome audiences on Saturdays July 18 and 25, then August 1 and 8, in several city parks, with a lineup crafted for the whole family.

As the evenings grow longer, Paris rolls its screens out into the open: the Quai Branly, the Villette, and several of the capital’s parks are drawing in fans of open-air cinema. The trend is spilling over to the rest of the Île-de-France, with screenings that are often free and framed as neighborhood gatherings. In Goussainville, in the Val-d'Oise (95), outdoor cinema leans into proximity, offering multiple showings across the town.
